A Few Words from Chief Larry Moser

Dear Neighbors,

As Fire Chief of Mt Hope Community Fire Dept., I want to take a moment to connect with you. Our department was established in 1972, and for over five decades, we have proudly stood as your dedicated first responders, committed to ensuring your safety and well-being right here in our community.

From our beginnings, fueled by the dedication of volunteers, we have evolved to include a mix of full-time, part-time paid staff, and the faithful commitment of our volunteer firefighters. This blend of experience and passion allows us to provide the best possible service when you need us most. We strive to respond quickly and with the highest level of training to meet any emergency that may arise.

On a personal note, I have had the privilege of serving this department for the past 45 years, and for the last 14 years, I have been honored to serve as your Fire Chief. This isn’t just a job to me; it’s a responsibility that I take incredibly seriously. The safety of our community and those that pass through daily, is always at the forefront of our efforts and decisions.

We believe that a strong community is an informed community. That’s why we invite you to visit our fire station. Come and learn more about what we do, the equipment we use, and the training our First Responders go through to help protect you. Your support is invaluable to us. We’re always happy to answer your questions and share insights into how we work to protect you and your loved ones.

Thank you for allowing us to be your fire department. We are proud to be a part of this community and remain steadfast in our commitment to keeping you safe.

Sincerely,

Larry Moser
